FROM CONCEPT TO PITCH: CREATING YOUR TV SHOW
6 Week workshop Join us for six wild weeks building your TV show. From initial concept and characters to six season arcs and your series pitch! We will discover what makes successful show work while avoiding the most common and time-consuming mistakes that writers make when crafting a series. SYLLABUS Week I: The art and craft of serialized short-form storytelling. Week II: Concept, world, and character. Week III: Tackling up to six seasons. (modifications for limited series) Week IV: Specificity of season one. Week V: Origin story, pilot & episode one. Week VI: Pitch week! Each week you will get feedback on your work. Work will be posted through wet.ink platform each week. Class sessions will be live via zoom. Please prepare to spend at least five hours a week outside of class working on your show. This class is limited to a small number of writers and requires an application. You do not need to have written a pilot before. We are interested in working with writers who are hardworking and have passion. |
