SCREENWRITING SHADOW STRUCTURE
One Day Workshop Are you feeling lost with screenplay structure but don't like the paint by number algorithms handed to the masses by the screenwriting books? Would you like to discover ways of approaching structure that allow your character and story to be as unique as you are while still meeting the requirements of the industry? Would you prefer to grow story from the inside out rather than construct it from the outside? If you answered yes to any of these questions you’d be a great addition to our one-day workshop on Shadow Structure. We will be developing the ability to grow intuitive structure for films based on Jungian Psychology. In this one day workshop, we will cover the basics of Jungian Shadow Work and break down one or more successful films that contain shadow structures. Then you will use the shadow work to develop story structures of your own. |
"I learned more in one session with Jess than I did in four years of NYU film school." - Jenna, NYU Graduate 2020 "Jess' approach is beyond anything I have ever experienced from a class or in any writers room. I always need to know the science behind things and knowing that all her techniques stem from neuroscience and psychology -- it just works."
- Kevin, TV Writer 2020 "In ten pages and one hour Jess broke open my story and transformed my structure. She saved me eight months of rewriting! Thank you!" - Celeste, Screenwriter 2019 "Do this, it will make you feel less afraid and like you can work again. Jess has gotten me through some very severe, severe blocks. So these tools are valuable throughout your entire career. they are professional tools. " - Carly Wray, MADMEN, MINDHUNTER, WESTWORLD |
