Most resolutions fail because they are unrealistic and general. Building a habit is a sure fire path to success. That is why, in this special New Years Day workshop, we will be focusing on helping you set clear, actionable, and attainable goals. You will discover a variety of techniques to combat the ways in which humans procrastinate and writers avoid writing. You will learn how to set goals that are designed for you on your worst day, not your best. 

In addition to goal setting, you will also learn how to use meditation to feel connected every time you write, create never-before-seen characters, overcome resistance, convert negative voices into positive ones, build stronger writing habits, conquer self-doubt, and write evocative new stories, that are uniquely yours but speak to universal truths.


The techniques of Meditative Writing were developed to address each writer's specific needs. In this workshop, you will be led through a cognitive and meditative exercise crafted specifically to help you open your mind to new ideas and inspirations, tap into a deeper well or creativity, and write without judgement. This in-class guided meditation will ensure you leave the session with pages upon pages of new writing.

This workshop is open to all artists at any stage of their creative development. Whether you're an aspiring or established novelist, poet, screenwriter, playwright, songwriter, or journalist, everyone can benefit from creative guidance and internal exploration.
