THE ART & THE CRAFT
Whether you are an indie-director looking to make it to the next level or an at-home scribbler looking to craft your first screenplay, guidance, structure, accountability, and support will help get farther faster. Mentorship with Jess helps rewire your mind to create your most effective writing process while tapping into your deepest artistry and building your craft.
Start with clear goals for both your artistic voice and your craft. Each session you will check in with these goals and adjust accordingly. Perhaps you want to more easily tap into your visceral characters, being able to step into their bodies and mind at any moment. Perhaps you are eager to master scene structure and subtext. Each session will be a mix of the art and craft based on your needs and wants.
At the end of each session you will have notes on your pages and clear strategies, tools, and assignments on what to do next.
ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL
Rather than forcing writers into a ridged system built to make things easier for a company or more profitable for the bottom line, Jess crafts every mentorship for the individual. After speaking with, you Jess will craft a program that works for your goals, your skill level, and your work/home life.
TEACHING IS AN ART - AND A SCIENCE
Jess has spent dedicated her life to studying neuroscience, psychology, meditation, storytelling, and educational philosophy, enabling her to adapt to any kind of writer. She will adjust her style to be effective for the way you learn.
